When can you use curved text?
Curved text is the text that appears along a circular path.
Learning how to curve text in Adobe Illustrator can come in handy in many situations.
For example, you can use it to create logos, cards, and posters. You can even use it to create the typography for flyers, invitations, and other various documents.
The main reason why you would want to use curved text is that it is much more eye-catching than regular text.
The curves and twists of the text help draw people's attention to your work and make it much more appealing.
Curved text is especially useful when creating logos for companies or organizations.
Step by step guide on how to curve text in Adobe Illustrator

Open your Adobe Illustrator project. Then go to the "File" tab and select "New".
This will open a dialogue box. Just hit "Create" to create your canvas.

I typed ‘Adobe Photoshop’ just for fun ( I wanted to make Illustrator jealous, I guess)

Highlight your type by clicking on it with the Selection Tool (V) or by using your mouse for easy selection.
Step 4 Illustrator Arc Text
Click the Effect tab.
With your text selected, click Effect in the top menu or above your project area.
Select Warp Text from the drop-down menu. This option won't be available if you have an object selected but not highlighted with the Selection Tool.
On the drop-down menu, click on Arc. which will take you to another window.
Effect → Warp Text → Arc
Select the box next to "Preview" to see your changes on Illustrator.
Step 5 How to Curve Text Illustrator
You can also change the curve by entering different values in the boxes below.
Play around with it to find what kind of arc you want.
For example, slightly adjust the Bend setting to 50%.
Step 6 Bend Text Illustrator
Click OK to apply your settings.
If you had Preview enabled, you'd see that the same settings you applied in the dialogue box are now also applied to your text.
And that's it.
Congratulations! You just learned how to curve text in Adobe Illustrator!
A small step for you today, a huge step for your designer skills tomorrow… ;)
Closing remarks
Curve text is super fun. Word bubbles, blog titles, fancy logos, social media posts, product descriptions on shelves, the list goes on and on.
It's a great way to spice up your designs and present a modern look.
One of the best things about this technique is that you can use it in any font and font size. And because it's vector-based, it won't distort with size changes!
However, we suggest that you should try to use this text effect only if you have a clear purpose, and don't just place this text everywhere on your design.
It won't help you create a more striking design if you're using this text effect just for the heck of it.
Hopefully, I helped you learn how to curve text in Adobe Illustrator.
Happy designing and editing!
